Congratulations to associates at Colorado Acute Long Term Care Hospital and LifeCare Hospitals of Dayton!
Both hospitals had outstanding achievements of LifeCare’s quality and financial performance standards for the first six months of 2019 and have earned the organization’s Care Beyond Compare Awards.
Colorado Acute Long Term Hospital earned the Gold Award for “Best Performing Hospital.”
LifeCare Hospitals of Dayton earned the Silver Award for “Second Place Performing Hospital.”
The Care Beyond Compare Award program recognizes hospitals’ efforts to achieve measured metrics, including:
- CAUTI – Lowest rate
- Likelihood to Recommend – Response rate must be 45 percent or higher
- C.diff – Lowest rate
- Response to Call Lights – Response rate must be 45 percent or higher
- Supply Costs – Most favorable percent variance to budget for operating supply cost per patient day. Must be at budget or better.
- Staffing Costs PPD – Most favorable percent variance to budget for staffing costs per patient day to include salaries, agency and OT fees. Does not include benefit costs. Must be at budget or better.
All eligible associates from these recognized hospitals will receive a monetary award, up to $250.
“Both of these hospitals not only sustained solid financial performance for six months,” said Amy Broderick, President – Hospital Division. “They also achieved significant improvement in overall patient satisfaction and quality scores. We reviewed various metrics and both hospitals ended up with the exact same score, however, we used their financial performance (actual versus budgeted EBITDAM) to determine the tie breaker. A job well done to both teams!”
