To make referrals fast and easy, LifeCare launched a new patient referral app in July. The app provides access to helpful information about admissions criteria and allows users to easily make referrals to any of the more than 15 LifeCare long-term acute care hospitals and four home health agencies across nine states.
In addition to more easily referring patients to LifeCare hospitals, app users can also view the status of submitted referrals, browse locations, view news releases or explore career opportunities with LifeCare. Through the app, LifeCare is able to streamline its personalized services quickly and efficiently, creating a stronger partnership between LifeCare, its referral sources and patients.

The goal of the app is to make it easier to refer patients to LifeCare and anyone may download and use it, including physicians, patients, family members and case or social workers. The app is supported by iOS and Android and is encrypted and fully HIPAA-compliant, ensuring patient information is secure and accessible by authorized parties only.
