LifeCare Hospitals of Chester County is honored to receive the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC) 2017 Apex Recognition Award. This award recognizes the significant contributions of respiratory therapists and highlights best practices in respiratory care. LifeCare was the only long-term acute facility to receive this award for 2017.
“It is an honor to receive this respected, industry award. This recognition distinguishes LifeCare from others as a facility committed to excellence, placing us in an elite group of hospitals across the nation to receive this honor,” says Lisa Pope, Director of Respiratory Therapy.
The Apex Recognition Award demonstrates LifeCare’s commitment in evidenced-based care, professional development, quality improvement, and patient safety and satisfaction.
“With the complex medical cases seen in the long-term acute care setting, quality respiratory care is an essential piece to the treatment plan,” said Pope. Her RT team at Chester County includes: Geri Brosbe, Gerad DelPrato, Laura Dougherty, Manju Gupta, Kurt Martin, Elaine Minnich, Donna Monaghan, Carol Nocella, Joseph Peck, Rachel Peck, Sandra Pizzo, Heather Pogharian, Karen Scott, Jeanette Warren, Maria Carreras and Debra Witherspoon.
In addition to LifeCare, the following acute care facilities were also recognized:
